Jason Strong arrived in the Northern Neck by way of Nebraska in 2003 to begin his career in education at Richmond County Public Schools. He taught English and coached three sports for seven years before accepting a position as assistant principal at Rappahannock High School. He spent the last seven years as principal of Richmond County Elementary and Middle School. In addition to those duties, Dr. Strong served as a School Retool leadership coach through the School-University Research Network (SURN) at the College of William and Mary.

Dr. Strong is grateful for the opportunity to help lead a staff and program with a commitment to learning that is focused on real-world field experiences where students learn through authentic discovery.

Jason enjoys fishing, hunting for shark’s teeth on Potomac with his son, Oscar, enjoying local dining with his wife, Becky, and exploring all the other comforts this beautiful piece of the Commonwealth has to offer.
