The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science – Albert Einstein

Mrs. Magruder was pursuing a career in math and computer science when she taught a class at Rappahannock Community College about computer spreadsheets that would change her entire career path. Working with students who were so excited about learning opened her eyes to a career in education.

Mrs. Magruder now teaches Algebra III, Pre-Calculus II, Statistics, and Calculus at CBGS. “Over the three years that students are with us, [I enjoy] watching them mature, gain confidence, take on new responsibilities, share their creativity, and encourage each other,” she says. She always enjoys working on projects with students in math class and getting to see their creative side.

Mrs. Magruder is married with three kids, and on the weekends spends her time working on a production team that puts on Broadway musicals with kids in the Fredericksburg area.
