- Am I eligible to attend CBGS?
Students who are eligible to attend are high ability 10th, 11th, and 12th graders from participating school divisions in the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck regions of Virginia.
- How do I apply to CBGS?
Students interested in applying to CBGS can apply using the link found here. If you require a paper application, you can request one from your home school counselor. Completed paper applications should be submitted to your counselor by the due date that they indicate.

Selection to CBGS involves multiple criteria. Students will be required to take a mathematics standardized test and complete a writing prompt, where they are asked to compose an essay explaining the themes and significance of a scientific article.
Students are also required to include 2 faculty recommendation forms, a student profile form, and an RCC application document. The full application has information for interested students. Please read it carefully.
To earn dual enrollment credit from Rappahannock Community College, selected applicants must pass the VPT, to be administered in the late spring of the year candidates are admitted.
