Mrs. Orem’s biggest goal as a teacher is to encourage her students to grow into open-minded individuals who are able to impact their community and world. As a CBGS alumnus, it has always been her goal to return someday as an instructor. “The connections I made with other students from this area and the passion that was ignited concerning the Chesapeake Bay and the field of marine science was truly life-changing. CBGS enables students to pursue their own learning journey, allows exploration of topics that intrigues individual students, and engages them in diverse and exciting lessons and field experiences. I would not be in the field I am in today without my time at CBGS, and I am honored to play a part in that same experience for future generations.”
